The Dodgers are seeking payroll flexibility, but sources say that they are unlikely to trade any of their top arbitration-eligible players.
Los Angeles, sources say, essentially is limited to cash-neutral transactions due to the divorce proceedings between owner Frank McCourt and his wife.
If the Dodgers were to sign a free agent, they'd have to subtract a player of similar cost.
