The Los Angeles Angels have had serious discussions with free-agent closer Fernando Rodney.

Now, the Philadelphia Phillies have joined the discussion as well, according to ESPN.com's Buster Olney

Rodney, who has spent his entire career in a Tigers uniform, posted 37 saves last year, while recording a career-high 75 2/3 innings.
