The Cubs and representatives for pitcher Carlos Zambrano are refuting a report that the Yankees have inquired about the starter.

"[General manager] Jim [Hendry] has not approached us about Carlos waiving the no-trade provision of his contract, nor is Carlos interested in waiving it," Zambrano's agent, Barry Praver, said in an e-mail to the Chicago Sun-Times.
