The Boston Herald is reporting that the Angels are looking to trade outfielder Gary Matthews Jr.

Matthews Jr. has lost time and is looking for a deal out of town. Getting rid of him could allow Los Angeles to make a play for free-agent left fielder Jason Bay.

Bay has an offer on the table from the Mets, but nothing appears imminent.
