The Giants have reportedly signed free-agent shortstop-turned-reliever Tony Pena Jr. to a minor-league deal.
Pena would earn a base salary of $650,000 if he spends all of 2010 in the majors.
Pena, who was once viewed by Kansas City as their shortstop of the future, moved to the mound midway through the 2009 season.
