Andy Pettitte has rejected a one-year offer from the Yankees worth approximately what he earned last season.

He earned close to $10 million in 2009.

Pettitte wants to pitch in 2010 and both sides have expressed interest in extending their relationship.

A National League official told the New York Post that despite the road block, a deal is expected to be reached.
