The Yankees don't think free-agent outfielder Johnny Damon will be able to get a contract similar to that of Bobby Abreu.

Abreu agreed to a two-year, $19 million deal to remain with the Angels last month. Damon's agent, Scott Boras, has mentioned the contract as a baseline for negotiations with his client.

However, the New York Daily News is reporting that the Yankees don't think Damon is worth that much.

The Yankees declined arbitration on Damon this week.
