Major League Baseball is interested in playing games in Puerto Rico during the 2010 season.

The New York Daily News has learned that the Mets will likely be the visiting team in such contests.

There have been discussions about moving a Marlins home series against the Mets to Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan.

The Mets would be an attractive draw because of a heavy Puerto Rican influence on their roster.
