There have been whispers that the Mariners and Tigers are engaged in trade discussions.

Amid those rumors, the Detroit News has suggested good fits for both sides.

Seattle wants a left fielder and a starting pitcher, so Detroit can offer Curtis Granderson and Edwin Jackson.

In return, the Mariners could offer righthander Brandon Morrow and a couple of highly-regarded prospects.
