Mets reliever J.J. Putz and Indians starter Carl Pavano both filed for free agency on Saturday.

Putz opted to become a free agent one day after the Mets declined his $9.1 million option for 2010.

A total of 120 players have filed for free agency since the World Series and 60 more could by the Nov. 19 deadline.
