The Phillies have opted to add pitcher Brett Myers to their roster for the World Series.

Utility man Miguel Cairo was dropped from the team's roster.

Myers was on Philadelphia's NLDS roster, but was left off the NLCS roster. The team felt he needed more time to recover from a strained lat muscle near his pitching shoulder.
