Yankees ace CC Sabathia has fared better in cold weather over the last three seasons. He has held batters to a .258 batting average, .310 on-base percentage and .368 slugging percentage when the temperature is less than 60 degrees. However, Sabathia's numbers spike to .277/.322/.420 when the weather is warmer than 60 degrees. The numbers are reversed for Philadelphia's Cliff Lee, who will start opposite Sabathia in Game 1. He fares better in warm weather. |
