Sources: Mattingly Talking With Dodgers About Future Plans

Oct 26, 2009 6:21 PM EST

Don Mattingly has been talking to the Dodgers since they were eliminated by the Phillies in the NLCS, according to sources.

They will have more conversations later this week.

Mattingly, who was a candidate for the position Manny Acta got in Cleveland, has made it clear that he wasn't to manage.

He is currently the team's hitting coach. Joe Torre has no plans to manager Los Angeles past the 2010 season.
