Signed to get the Yankees back to the World Series, CC Sabathia took home ALCS MVP honors on Sunday night.

He turned in two dominant performances in New York's six-game win over the Angels.

"This is a great feeling," Sabathia said. "This is what you come here for, to play in the postseason games and try to perform. This feels good but we have a long way to go. From Day 1 of spring training you could tell this was going to be a memorable year for us."

Signed to a $161 million, seven-year deal this past winter, Sabathia is expected to start Game 1 of the World Series against the Phillies.
