Yankees veteran Andy Pettitte will pitch Game 6 of the ALCS against the Angels no matter when the game is held.

There is rain in the forecast for Saturday night, which could push the game to Sunday.

New York manager Joe Girardi says that Pettitte will start Game 6, even though CC Sabathia would be able to start the game, if moved to Sunday, on normal rest.

"We plan on Andy starting our next game for us," Girardi told the New York Daily News. "I've heard reports that we're going to get (Saturday's) game in and I've heard other reports (of rain). So we're planning on playing...and Andy is pitching. We don't really have any plans of changing our rotation."
