Dodgers hitting coach Don Mattingly interviewed with the Indians over the phone on Tuesday for their vacant managerial position. The Cleveland Plain Dealer has reported that Mattingly has been approached by the Nationals as well. "I've wanted to manage a long time and I've been moving in that direction," Mattingly told MLB.com. "I'm flattered the organization thinks I'm capable of [managing], or at least they'd think I could. It was a chance to get to know them and for them to get to know me."
