The Cubs will announce on Wednesday that they have hired Rudy Jaramillo as their hitting coach.

Jaramillo, formerly the hitting instructor of the Rangers, will reportedly receive a three-year, $2.42 million contract from Chicago.

He has spent 15 years with Texas and guided 17 Silver Slugger winners.
