Yankees closer Mariano Rivera missed a pair of team workouts this week as he dealt with a personal matter.

The New York Post has learned that Rivera had permission from the team to skip the workouts.

"It's nothing physical, it was for personal reasons, and he will be here [for tonight's game]," general manager Brian Cashman said prior to Friday night's Game 1 of the ALCS against the Angels.
