Mets shortstop Jose Reyes has finally had surgery to repair a torn hamstring tendon behind his right knee.
Reyes didn't play after May 20 because of the injury.
The Mets claim that Reyes will begin his rehab shortly and that he'll resume baseball activities "soon after the new year."
