Nationals shortstop Cristian Guzman is scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder Thursday.
A sore shoulder limited Guzman to pinch-hitting late in the season.
He hit .284 with six homers and 52 RBIs for Washington in 2009.
