Yankees owner George Steinbrenner spent some time with the team before Sunday's regular season finale against the Rays.

Steinbrenner, 79, visited with his team for about an hour in Tampa Bay, telling the club that he's "excited" about the postseason.

He made the trip from his home in Tampa to see the Yankees play in person for the second time in 2009 at Tropicana Field.
