The Boston Red Sox completed the formality with Tony Graffanino on Wednesday, agreeing to terms with the infielder on a one-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Graffanino, who was acquired from Kansas City in July, accepted arbitration on December 19. By agreeing to a deal, the sides avoided a hearing, which would have taken place next month.
