Dodgers pitcher Hiroki Kuroda won't play in the NLCS because of a neck injury. An MRI Friday revealed a small herniation of the cervical spine, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. Dodgers trainer Stan Conte said the injury is not related to the line drive he took off his skull in mid-August and left him with a concussion, but Kuroda isn't so sure. "It's hard to say, but ever since I got hit by the line drive I've had discomfort in my neck and also in my upper back," Kuroda said through interpreter Kenji Nimura. "It could be related but I don't really know the details." The right-hander has not been ruled of later rounds.
