"If they want me to fold towels, I'll fold towels," Chamberlain told the New York Daily News. "I don't really care. Whatever they see fit, I want to help this team win in any role that I'm in." Chamberlain struggled yet again on Wednesday. He was pulled in the fourth inning of New York's 4-3 loss to Kansas City. "It was not a good start," said manager Joe Girardi. "We got his pitch count up, which was a good thing, but we didn't get his pitch count up in the amount of innings we wanted, so that's a bad thing. I would not consider this a quality start." If Chamberlain does make New York's playoff roster, he'll likely be used as a reliever. |
