Carlos Beltran's contract runs through the 2011 season, but the center fielder has made it known that he wants to finish his career with the Mets.

Beltran believes that he can play at least six more years.

He told the New York Post on Saturday night that he won't approach general manager Omar Minaya about an extension, but that he will "let my agent deal with that."

Scott Boras represents Beltran, who has a full no-trade clause in his contract.

"I love it [in New York]," said Beltran. "I love the guys. I've made New York my home, and I feel happy. Even though we've gone through a lot of terrible things, I still feel like we have the potential to accomplish our goal of winning a World Series."
