The Cardinals clinched the NL Central title with a 6-3 win over the Rockies on Saturday night.
Jason LaRue, subbing for injured starting catcher Yadier Molina, hit a home run in the seventh inning to break a 3-3 tie.
"We played good baseball tonight," Matt Holliday said. "They're trying to win a playoff spot just like we are. It was good baseball."
