Roy Halladay pitched a complete-game shut out against the Mariners on Friday night in what may have been his final home start for the Blue Jays. Toronto defeated Seattle 5-0 thanks to Halladay's strong pitching performance, which thrilled the crowd at the Rogers Centre. "Regardless of what happens this winter, it means a lot to me," Halladay told the Toronto Star. "To have that many people that supportive and chanting, I think it'd mean a lot to anybody. "Especially walking off, I can't remember many times going out for the ninth where people are cheering and standing up before the inning starts. Maybe I was more aware of it, but definitely you feel the excitement and show your appreciation." Halladay has a career mark of 83-34 at home in his career. "This is a town where you have to produce and you have to play well in order for the fans to keep showing up," Halladay said. "We all know that. There's a correlation between what we do on the field and the fans in the seats. We always keep in mind that it can be a great sports town. When things are going good, they're great fans, as good as anywhere. We're aware that it's a reflection of us."
