The Cardinals and Matt Holliday don't plan to discuss a possible contract extension until after the postseason. There isn't currently any dialogue between the two parties, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Holliday is represented by agent Scott Boras, who has undoubtedly seen his client's market increase since the Athletics dealt him to the Cardinals in late July. "I won't put any restrictions on the Cardinals just as I wouldn't expect them to put any restrictions on Matt," Boras said. "It's a quality place to play, a good city. There are a lot of things that players look at when they determine what they'll do with free agency. You do an effective job of information-taking, evaluate and go from there."
