Rangers center fielder Josh Hamilton will miss at least a week after having a third injection for a pinched nerve in his back.

Hamilton had already missed his seventh straight game on Friday with the injury. He was in California to get an epidural from back specialist Dr. Robert Watkins.

Texas general manager Jon Daniels doesn't think the issue will keep Hamilton out for the remainder of the season.

"The doctor feels he'll be OK in a week or so, but we need to see him on the field before we do any speculating," Daniels said.
