Alex Rodriguez will not by punished by Major League Baseball after the league completed its investigation into whether he lied about his use of performance-enhancing drugs.

The New York Times first reported the news on Saturday morning. MLB withheld comment when contacted by ESPN.

"If and when we have something to announce, we announce it," spokesman Rich Levin said.
