Tim Lincecum isn't worried about coming back from his freak back injury.

"No, I feel fine," said Lincecum, who was scratched four hours before Tuesday night's game. "With the steps my back has taken these last 48-60 hours or so, I don't see why I can't make it out there in a few days."

Lincecum was "pretty confident" he would return Monday, when the Giants begin their final three-game series with the wild card-leading Colorado Rockies. He felt good enough to play light catch Wednesday, but trainers backed him off. His normal day to throw off a bullpen mound would be Saturday.

"It's hard for me," he said. "I have boundless energy, and I want to move around. I want to pitch right now. I've just gotta take it easy."
