Yankees pitcher Ian Kennedy threw a simulated game on Tuesday for the first time since surgery in May to remove an aneurysm below his right biceps.
Kennedy threw 22 of 35 pitches for strikes over two innings against New York's minor leaguers.
He is set to pitch in the instructional league later this month and the Arizona Fall League.
