Phillies closer Brad Lidge has credited manager Charlie Manuel for his recent turnaround. "Charlie [Manuel] has been the most supportive manager I have ever played for," Lidge told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "With all I've gone through, it's been huge knowing that I'm going to keep my job." Lidge was perfect in 2008, but has nine blown saves already this season. "When he's there the whole time saying, 'I've got your back,' it's a good feeling," Lidge said. Lately, Lidge has looked stronger on the mound.
