Rival executives believe that the Mariners are trying hard to sign Felix Hernandez to a contract extension this winter.

If Seattle isn't able to sign Hernandez long-term, they will begin listening to offers for the right-handed pitcher.

One executive told Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman that they're "sure to get hits" on King Felix.
