A longtime baseball executive believes that the Yankees should put Joba Chamberlain in the bullpen for the remainder of the regular season.

The executive doesn't see the value in starting Chamberlain if he's only going to throw 35 or so pitches.

Instead, New York could pitch Chamberlain out of the bullpen every fifth day in a tight situation to make sure "it's meaningful."

"You've got to give these games some meaning," the executive told ESPN's Jayson Stark. "The way he looked [Sunday], it looked like a rehab outing. And that does no good for anybody."
