Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins has committed just just three errors this season. He hasn't committed a single error in 79 games, and is on pace to become the first shortstop in National League history to field more than 600 chances and commit no more than three miscues. Only Omar Vizquel (2002) and Cal Ripken Jr. (1990) have accomplished the feat in the American League. "Jimmy Rollins is having a lockdown Gold Glove season," one scout told ESPN's Jayson Stark. "And what's really impressive about it is that he didn't hit for a long time, and he never let his offensive problems affect his defense all season. I think Troy Tulowitzki has better range than Rollins, but he gets a little stylistic and throws balls away at times. Jimmy Rollins is as fundamentally sound as any shortstop who's ever played the game."
