Tim Hudson helped the Braves beat the Marlins in his first start in over thirteen months on Tuesday night. Hudson allowed two runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings, earning the victory in Atlanta's 4-3 win over Florida. He had ligament replacement surgery last summer, and endured a rain delay of nearly three hours in his return. "I wasn't sure we were going to get it in," Hudson told the Associated Press. "It took a while to get it going. But it was better late than never." His last win came on July 23, 2008 against the Marlins.
