The Mets are expected to get third baseman David Wright back on Sept. 1, the first day he's eligible to come off the disabled list.

"He seems to be doing extremely well," Mets manager Jerry Manuel told the Star Ledger.

Wright is dealing with a concussion after being hit in the helmet with a fastball thrown by San Francisco's Matt Cain earlier this month.
