After getting hit with an 89-mph pitch, Youkilis threw off his helmet and tackled Porcello to the ground. Both benches emptied.

Detroit's Miguel Cabrera was hit on the left hand by a pitch in the first inning by Red Sox right-hander Junichi Tazawa.
