Jose Reyes is headed back to New York to have more tests on his troublesome right hamstring.

Reyes had been rehabbing in Port St. Lucie, and the Mets only revealed that the shortstop was suffering from some discomfort.

The New York Post learned that Reyes' hamstring tightened up during an off day on Sunday, which prompted the examination.

"He has a good day and then he has two bad days. It's just not getting better," Chris Leible, one of Reyes' agents, said. "Jose is more frustrated than anybody that he's not feeling better and not able to get out there and play."
