Alex Rodriguez hasn't homered since July 19th, a streak of 53 at-bats.

"I have been driving balls well," Alex Rodriguez told the New York Post. "I never worry about [not hitting] home runs. They are the last thing to worry about. As long as I am making good contact."

While Rodriguez hasn't been hitting balls out of the park lately, he has raised his average to .261. It was at .204 shortly after his return from hip surgery in May.

"We never concentrate on hitting home runs," New York hitting coach Kevin Long said. "I don't worry about home runs. It's about squaring the baseball. That's better for him and for the team."
