Daniel Bard has been nearly unhittable, and the Red Sox made him pretty much untouchable prior to last Friday's non-waiver trade deadline.

The right-handed pitcher has allowed just four hits over his last 13 innings, while recording 23 strikeouts.

"My agent kind of told me that," Bard told MLB.com of being off-limits. "He spoke to [the Red Sox], and it's kind of what he gathered from them. It's nice -- it's nice to be wanted by the team that you're playing for."
