Union officials have asked federal courts to investigate who is leaking the names of the 104 players that tested positive during Major League Baseball's 2003 steroid survey.

The request is at the center of an ongoing legal feud between the Players Association and the government.

According to a source close to the union, the Players Association is asking courts to find out how the information is being obtained and if it is coming from any person covered by a court order sealing information about the case.

The New York Times cited "lawyers with knowledge of the results" when outing David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez on Thursday.
