The Yankees could make a move for Jarrod Washburn with Chien-Ming Wang officially lost for the season.

Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik has begun calling teams about several players, according to a baseball source.

Seattle had been in the race for the AL West title, but a recent four-game losing streak has likely dropped them out of contention.

Washburn will be a free agent this winter, which means the asking price shouldn't be nearly as high as that of Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee.
