The odds appear to be against the Red Sox landing Roy Halladay, but that hasn't stopped them from inquiring with the Blue Jays. FOX Sports reported on Sunday that because of Boston's deep farm system, they have been involved in discussions for a majority of the big names on the trade market. In addition to Halladay, the Red Sox have called about Cliff Lee, Victor Martinez and Adrian Gonzalez. While Boston isn't expected to land Halladay, talks between the Sox and Jays are serious enough that Toronto made a formal, multiple-prospect request over the past several days.
