Derek Jeter notched three hits on Friday night, passing Ted Williams on baseball's all-time hit list.

The long-time Yankee shortstop now has 2,655 hits for his career, good enough for 68th all-time.

"I did not even know. I had no idea," Jeter said after New York won their eighth-straight game. "It's kind of hard to believe, I guess. I don't know what to say because I didn't know."

Jeter is hitting .320 this season.
