Pedro Martinez will make a start for the Single-A Clearwater Threshers on Sunday.

It will mark the pitcher's first competitive game since Sept. 25, 2008.

Martinez has thrown twice since signing with the Phillies, and the Single-A start is the largest step he has taken towards joining the Phillies at the major-league level.
