The Mets could be without pitcher John Maine for the remainder of the season, according to a source.

Maine, who went on the disabled list with a pinched nerve in his shoulder on June 12, is expected to visit Dr. James Andrews in Alabama soon.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't pitch again this season," a source told Newsday.
