President Barack Obama made time for a congratulatory call to Mark Buehrle on Thursday.

Buehrle threw a perfect game against the Rays, marking just the 17th perfect game all-time in regular season play.

The president's spokesman says Obama told Buehrle it was "an unbelievable achievement" and "something that everyone will always remember."
