Mets general manager Omar Minaya said on Monday that he received a vote of confidence from COO Jeff Wilpon a few weeks ago.

However, sources indicated to the New York Daily News that Wilpon's view has cleared shifted recently.

Minaya's three-year extension, which is believed to be worth $1.1 million annually, reportedly won't restrict the Mets from cutting him loose after the season.
